I thought I am totally over it, totally recovered from my past experience. For quite some time now I've been quite able to set aside all my emotions, locked securely in a steel box tucked way in the farthest corner of my mind. Then something happens to trigger the memories, and all the emotions wash in like a tidal wave.
Allah, give me strength to overcome this one, too.
